VN progress updates
Got some more updates for you guys ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Also, have you noticed I changed the title?
Yup! I changed it from Redacted Affection to Something Morbid About Affection. Yeah, kinda wordy but I think it fits better for the VN I'm making. I've also changed the logo which you can see on the home page, in my opinion I think it was a total upgrade
TBH the title was supposed to be "Something Morbid About Adoration" but I wasn't paying attention while making the logo and ended up with Adoration to Affection instead. But I didn't mind, I think affection is more suitable
Anyway, here's what I've done since the last time I posted
- Main script: Soo... day 1 and 2 is still not complete because I added more stuff like dialogue options and I plan to add more conversation so that the story doesn't feel like it's moving too fast.
"Oh but Vishou! You've been stuck on day 1 and 2 for a while!" Okay yes I know buuut I've been working on the character's backstories, more info about them, and other stuff relating to character writing so that it's consistent in future scripts
- Sprite art: Felix's sprite sets are done! What's left is that I just need to draw the headphones which is my least fav thing to do... and after he's done, Adaliah's next!
- In-game stuff: Currently I'm polishing the MC customization screen, you can see it from the screenshot above. But that's not all I've done, I'm just showing that for now. It felt a little too soft for a serial killer MC soo I made the color palette a bit more darker while still keeping SMAA "signature colors"
Oh and also, I spent like probably more than an hour just to add this custom chat bubble. It looks similar to the one on the logo!
